New York, April 27, 2015. NAMU, a US fintech start-up with offices in the US and Poland, today announced it will present during the Citi Mobile Challenge Demo Day in Warsaw, as one of the competition’s finalists, with the aim to become among the Citi Mobile Challenge EMEA award recipients.

NAMU Systems offers a revolutionary mobile banking platform for consumer banks. The company founders have extensive banking experience, which allows them to innovate with full understanding of the complexity and security requirements of global banks. NAMU was successfully launched in November last year. It has immediately gained very strong interest from numerous retail banks worldwide. The cutting-edge product known as NAMU “Joyful banking” is now moving to proof-of-concept stage.

“I was thrilled to learn our company was selected as the Citi Mobile Challenge Finalist. I believe NAMU effectively addresses some gaps that exist in the current banking solutions,”  said Thomas Ko, NAMU’s President and Co-Founder, the ex-global head of mobile banking at Citibank.

Citi Mobile Challenge was launched in 2014 with programs in Latin America and the US. It is continuing this year with events taking place this month in Nairobi, Jerusalem, Warsaw and London. Applicants submitted solutions built from Citi’s APIs and finalists were invited to the Demo Day to present their prototypes live to Citi executives and other fintech influencers. $100,000 in award money is available. Top innovators will also receive guidance from Citibank and the opportunity to take their technologies into production.

“Citi is excited to meet developers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa through Citi Mobile Challenge EMEA and fuel digital progress in the industry,” said Jorge Ruiz, Digital Acceleration Global Program Head. “We wish all the finalists the best of luck at Demo Days!”
